Circle of Love Weddings had the privilege of being apart of various Williamstown Botanical Gardens wedding ceremonies last season.
Williamstown Botanical Gardens is located only 9 kilometres south west of Melbourne and is situated on the southern end of Williamstown, near the beach. The botanical gardens are ones of Victoria’s oldest and are considered to be quite small in comparison to other Melbourne gardens, which makes them unique.
There are many locations within the gardens to have your wedding ceremony as there are plenty of beautiful trees and lush garden beds, but the Golden Elm tree is the most popular due to its size and character. The lawns are well manicured with daily maintenance, keeping the area beautiful and green. The Golden Elm tree is located on the north side and is easily accessed from the street. There are also multiple locations for your wedding photography including under the palms, around the ponds, along the historic paths and even by the beach.
In order to have your Williamstown Botanical Gardens wedding, you must obtain a permit from the Hobsons City Council at a small fee. You can apply for the permit online by visiting the councils website. There are also some restrictions in terms of equipment that is permitted, so please ensure to read the terms and conditions. As this is a very popular location to have your wedding ceremony, there may be other ceremonies being held in the gardens at the same time, so please check for other wedding ceremony times as this may impact your photography.
