Roselyn Court Receptions wedding

It was a beautiful morning on Sunday 4th September for a Roselyn Court Receptions wedding ceremony in the courtyard. The garden is filled with beautiful trees, fountains and a brick path leading up to a wedding gazebo where our couple said “I Do”.

We decorated the gazebo with white chiffon draping and flowers across the top beam with matching flowers in vases on either side. The white carpet lined the brick path with rose balls hanging off the bench seats and white rose petals scattered along the aisle runner.

The ceremony was officiated by celebrant Paul O’Donohue who coordinated nine balloons to be released in honour of the ones who have passed away along with a dove bird release. Wedding bubbles were provided and used at the end of the ceremony.

The ceremony was very emotional but filled with love and laughter. The ceremony was then followed by some drinks in the courtyard and a lunch reception in the Gatsby Room.

Medley Hall Melbourne weddings

Circle of Love Weddings recently conducted a photo shoot at the Medley Hall Melbourne weddings and events venue. Medley Hall is located right on the cusp of the Melbourne CBD. The building is primarily used to reside students from Melbourne University but also has two sized function rooms catering for corporate events and weddings.

This historic building which was established in 1893 has beautiful high ceilings, large window frames and perfectly polished floor boards. The grand staircase in the foyer adds so much character and is popular for wedding photography.

The Medley Hall dining room can hold approximately 80 guests seated or there is a smaller private room which is where the ceremony is usually held, but can be converted into a small dinner setting. A fireplace and grand piano is also another added feature to this room.

Brunswick Town Hall weddings

Congratulations to Tara and Irving who tied the knot at the Brunswick Town Hall weddings and events venue in April 2016.

Brunswick Town Hall is a historic building located on Sydney Road, right in the heart of Brunswick, 6 kilometres north of the Melbourne CBD.

It was an overcast day with temperatures a little chilly in the low twenties with spots of rain, but luckily enough, weather wasn’t an issue as the Brunswick Town Hall was transformed into an amazing wedding ceremony space.

Our couple wanted a natural themed wedding ceremony with a white wedding arch filled with natural looking garland and white roses. The aisle chairs were then also decorated with white and cream flower posies with natural gum leaves and a sash.

As the hall is quite spacious our 12 metre white carpet was rolled all the way to the end with two white pillars at the entrance with natural flowers to match the theme.

Although our couple had their wedding reception at a restaurant nearby, the venue can also be transformed into an amazing wedding reception space, seating 180 sit down or 350 guests standing. There is also an atrium adjoining the hall providing a relaxing outdoor area for your guests to mingle.

Williamstown Botanical Gardens wedding

Circle of Love Weddings had the privilege of being apart of various Williamstown Botanical Gardens wedding ceremonies last season.

Williamstown Botanical Gardens is located only 9 kilometres south west of Melbourne and is situated on the southern end of Williamstown, near the beach. The botanical gardens are ones of Victoria’s oldest and are considered to be quite small in comparison to other Melbourne gardens, which makes them unique.

There are many locations within the gardens to have your wedding ceremony as there are plenty of beautiful trees and lush garden beds, but the Golden Elm tree is the most popular due to its size and character. The lawns are well manicured with daily maintenance, keeping the area beautiful and green. The Golden Elm tree is located on the north side and is easily accessed from the street.  There are also multiple locations for your wedding photography including under the palms, around the ponds, along the historic paths and even by the beach.

In order to have your Williamstown Botanical Gardens wedding, you must obtain a permit from the Hobsons City Council at a small fee. You can apply for the permit online by visiting the councils website. There are also some restrictions in terms of equipment that is permitted, so please ensure to read the terms and conditions. As this is a very popular location to have your wedding ceremony, there may be other ceremonies being held in the gardens at the same time, so please check for other wedding ceremony times as this may impact your photography.

Treasury Gardens wedding

Are you thinking about having a Treasury Gardens wedding ceremony?

The Treasury Gardens is located at the Paris end of Melbourne’s CBD and is a very popular venue for wedding ceremonies. Not only is the location close to many wedding reception venues, it has beautiful features including the JFK Memorial and pond.

The gardens are considered to be quite small in comparison to other garden wedding venues in Melbourne and the ceremony area in the JFK Memorial site is quite hidden and private. The ceremony/memorial area is located right next to a pond on a concrete pad and has a beautiful fountain as a backdrop.

Whether your wedding ceremony be simple with a few chairs and carpet runner, or more elaborate with arches, pillars, flowers and umbrellas, we can cater for all wedding sizes ranging from 20 guests to over 300 guests.

I have provided a few images below of recent wedding ceremonies set up by Circle of Love Weddings in the Treasury Gardens.

In order to have your Treasury Gardens wedding ceremony, a permit must be obtained by the City of Melbourne. The permit provides you with suppliers access to the site for a period of 4 hours at a cost of around $500.

The parking can be quite tricky, being in the popular area of Melbourne and with the location also bordering the Fitzroy Gardens. Please ensure that your guests allow plenty of time for parking the car.

Janalli gardens wedding

Congratulations to Kelly and Steven who had their Janalli gardens wedding on Saturday 28th February 2015.

Janalli Gardens is located 100 kilometres east of Melbourne in a small country town called Neerim South. This venue is a small B&B spreading across 4 acres of land, filled with beautiful gardens. It is a very peaceful location and very private.

It was a typical Melbourne day with warm temperatures but on and off rain all day with cloudy skies. Our couple chose to have their ceremony in the front garden with the pond in the background.

Kelly and Steven chose our white single arch with ivory draping and flowers across the top for as the backdrop for their ceremony. We also provided a white aisle runner, Americana chairs and signing table to complete the ceremony decor.

Port Melbourne wedding

Are you wanting to have your wedding close to Melbourne, but near the beach? We have found this great Port Melbourne wedding venue, Spirit Station Pier.

S6 Spirit Station Pier is located in Port Melbourne, only 5 kilometres south west of Melbourne’s CBD. This venue is located right on station pier and the building was once one of the original kiosks. The Spirit Station Pier has kept its historical character and has been recently transformed into one of the most popular wedding venues in Melbourne. This iconic venue is only used for functions and is not open to the public on a daily basis. Wedding ceremonies are traditionally held on a pier adjacent to the venue, however due to strong winds and rain, it is sometimes more practical to hold the wedding ceremony inside the venue.

Circle of Love Weddings joined forces with All About Venues to decorate the venue with floor to ceiling draping, our white single arch with flowers across the top, white carpet and lanterns with orchids along the aisle to give that romantic effect. The pillars at the entrance also divided the ceremony space from the rest of the venue.

Melbourne wedding ceremony location

Congratulations to Jerry and Maggie who chose Sandringham Yacht Club as their Melbourne wedding ceremony location on Thursday 8th May 2014.

Sandringham is a beachside suburb in Melbourne, located approximately 16 kilometres south east of Melbourne’s CBD. The Sandringham Yacht Club is a popular Melbourne wedding ceremony location due to the uninterrupted views of Port Phillip Bay. The wedding ceremony is held on the balcony and there is a great wet weather back up location inside the club in a room with floor to ceiling windows, looking directly over the bay. There is an adjoining function room that caters for up to 250 guests sit down for a reception, however you do not have to be having your reception at the yacht club to have a wedding ceremony.

Mt Martha Beach wedding

Wanting your Melbourne beach wedding on the Mornington Peninsula, but not sure where to go? What about a Mt Martha Beach wedding ceremony?

Mount Martha is located 60 kilometres south east of Melbourne’s CBD and is a centrally located on the Mornington Peninsula. The stretch of beach is 2km long with Balcombe Creek mouth dividing this beach into two halves, north and south.

Our couple chose Mt Martha South beach as the back drop for their beach wedding ceremony with the cliff face in the background. Mt Martha South beach is close to the lifesaving and yacht club with small boat sheds lining the beach, and is a popular location for wedding photography.

Although this beach is extremely difficult to access, the panoramic views over Port Phillip Bay are breathtaking and with only a short distance to the water.
