Mt Martha Beach wedding

Wanting your Melbourne beach wedding on the Mornington Peninsula, but not sure where to go? What about a Mt Martha Beach wedding ceremony?

Mount Martha is located 60 kilometres south east of Melbourne’s CBD and is a centrally located on the Mornington Peninsula. The stretch of beach is 2km long with Balcombe Creek mouth dividing this beach into two halves, north and south.

Our couple chose Mt Martha South beach as the back drop for their beach wedding ceremony with the cliff face in the background. Mt Martha South beach is close to the lifesaving and yacht club with small boat sheds lining the beach, and is a popular location for wedding photography.

Although this beach is extremely difficult to access, the panoramic views over Port Phillip Bay are breathtaking and with only a short distance to the water.

Hampton Beach wedding ceremony, Melbourne

Congratulations to Amy and Troy who had their Hampton Beach wedding on Saturday 15 March 2014. Hampton Beach is located only 14 kms south east of Melbourne overlooking Port Phillip Bay. This couple chose the small stretch of beach next to the Hampton Life Saving Club to have their beach wedding ceremony.

It was a very unpredictable day with a high chance of rain and strong winds expected. Although the rain unfortunately didn’t hold off during their ceremony, the guests formed an umbrella roof which created a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony with lots of love and some tears.

Our lovely couple chose our bamboo canopy with ivory chiffon draping which due to high winds had to be tied tight around the bamboo. The bride chose fresh orange orchids to be tied to the sides of the Americana chairs to add a bit of colour. The bamboo tee pees at the entrance marked Amy’s entrance into married life.

Wedding at Elwood Pier

Wanting to have a wedding ceremony with direct view of Port Phillip Bay? Why not consider having your wedding at Elwood Pier, only 8kms south east of Melbourne.

The Elwood Pier is a beautiful weathered pier situated at the top end of Head Street and right near the popular Sails on the Bay Restaurant. The pier is very large in size and has quite high cement boundaries, providing a private and exclusive location for your Melbourne wedding ceremony. The pier is easy to access and Elwood Beach is relatively quiet compared to other beaches. Elwood Pier is also very popular for romantic wedding photography under a beautiful sunset. Take note that when booking your wedding at Elwood Pier, a permit is required through Melbourne Water rather than the local council.

Our couple chose our Glamorous Chic package which includes our single bamboo wedding arch with chiffon draping and flowers, signing table, white aisle runner and 10 Americana chairs, as this was a smaller wedding in front of close family and friends.

Mornington Peninsula wedding

Wanting to have a Mornington Peninsula wedding ceremony on the beach, but not sure on the best location?

The Ranelagh Club is located in a small private area of Mt Eliza with private access to a small beach with colourful bathing boxes. It has the complete package with the venue situated on the cliffs with uninterrupted views across Port Phillip Bay and a private beach which catches an intimate view of the city skyline.

This Mornington Peninsula wedding venue is closed to the public on Saturdays to cater for private events, including weddings, making your entire day exclusively for you and your guests. The Ranelagh Club has a large deck area which is undercover, creating the perfect wet weather back up, but still captures the water views.

Our bride and groom wanted a beach wedding, so chose our Island Paradise package with a few personal touches. Our creative bride provided her own aisle decorations using jars and flowers which were later used as centrepieces at the reception. She also had bali flags to mark her entrance into married life.
